Sergeant Timothy J. Henck was 30 years old and a 9-year veteran when he was killed in the performance of his duty in 1995. The man responsible, Arthur Adinolfi, Department Identification Number (DIN) 96A4871, was 37 years old and a career criminal. He was convicted of Murder 2 and sentenced to life in prison.

Suffolk County EMHP is transitioning to Aetna starting January 1, 2025.

Tier 5 & 6 Reform

The SOA has been working with our law enforcement partners in the Police Conference of New York (PCNY), as well as with other labor unions in the Public Employee Conference (PEC), to lobby for legislative changes to the NYS Pension System tiers 5 and 6. We need your support with our Call to Action to let the Legislators in New York State know how we feel about it.
